Sunset is proud to present its POWERSKATING program again, starting Fall 2009!
The PowerSkating program teaches advanced skating skills to skaters interested in
or currently involved in hockey and ringette. The program will involve educational
drills to improve balance, power, endurance and most importantly, edge and turn work. Proper
technique, power and agility will be emphasized at all times.
Skaters will be divided by level, ranging from Hockey 1 to Pee Wee and
Bantam Rep team players. All skating levels welcome.
Pre-requisites:Full hockey equipment, with a hockey/ringette stick.
Skaters must be either currently involved in hockey or ringette, or have
a minimum level 3 Canskate badge.
Fall 2010
The program will run on the following sessions:
Session1:
Thursdays, 6:30 to 7:30 am September 16th to October 28th (7 weeks) $ 98
Saturdays, 7:00 to 8:00 pm September 11th to October 23rd (6 weeks)
NOTE: NO CLASS OCTOBER 9th
Session2:
Thursdays, 6:30 to 7:30 am November 4th to December 16th (7 weeks)
Saturdays, 7:00 to 8:00 pm October 30th to December 11th (6 weeks)
NOTE: NO CLASS DECEMBER 4th
